Salon - Heritage Unlocked

Apr 13, 2023, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Salon is a curated and candid panel discussion hosted by Architectus Conrad Gargett in partnership with the Australian Heritage Festival.

Salon brings together thought leaders, city shapers and inspired makers to share ideas and perspectives about our built environment.

Join us as we explore the Australian Heritage Festival theme, shared stories, and discuss the potential of unlocking heritage places that share our past and enliven our lives with new uses and programs. The panel will challenge perspectives on balancing the protection and conservation of our cultural heritage for future generations while considering the need to make changes and consider new uses and development in and adjacent to heritage places.

The panellists:

Leah Lang - Queensland Government Architect
Catherine Chambers – Director, Heritage Environment and Heritage Policy & Programs
Benjamin Carson – Manager, Heritage Environment and Heritage Policy and Programs Department of Environment and Science
David Gole - Architectus Conrad Gargett
Noel Langdon - National Trust
