This competition is open to all Australian YouTubers to create a 5-10 min video on the topic ‘Rosewood Unearthed,’ revealing the past and bringing to light lesser-known histories and stories of Rosewood, Queensland.
Entries must be uploaded to a YouTube Channel with the tag #RosewoodUnearthed. Full details are on our website.
Entry is free. The total prize money will be $1000.
Entries close at midnight Sunday 18 May 2025.
Links to YouTube video entries must be received by the closing date with the details of entrants.
There are two categories:
• Open Category: Aged 19 years and over. First prize: $500, Runner-up $100
• Student Category: Aged 18 years and under or attending an Australian High School at the time of entry.
First prize: $200, Runner-up: $100
Entries will be judged on the following criteria: The ability to communicate information about Rosewood Qld, revealing the past and bringing to light lesser-known histories and stories of Rosewood.
Content Ideas
• Interviews
• Family member relating a little-known story about the area
• Traditional documentary
• A personal journey around the town
• Focus on the history of buildings in the town
• A dramatic recreation of a historical event
• Something experimental
