This form may be completed online or submitted to info@nationaltrustqld.org. Completed nominations will be reviewed by the Nomination and Governance Committee and approved by the board of the National Trust of Australia (Queensland).

Introduction

National Trust of Australia (Queensland) has established the Honorary Life Member Program to recognise outstanding commitment to conserving, protecting and celebrating Queensland’s environmental, built and cultural heritage. This program acknowledges and thanks the recipients for their achievements and contribution to National Trust in Queensland. Recipients are required to have demonstrated exceptional work to support and influence the direction of National Trust in Queensland. Nomination is open to any living Australian or permanent resident for an award, but it must be seconded by a full current member of the National Trust of Australia (Queensland). Nominations may be submitted at any time during the year.

Please Note: Nominations are confidential, and acceptance is not guaranteed. We would ask that discretion is exercised and that a nominee not be made aware of their nomination.

Assessment of Nominations: Nominations are submitted to the Nominations & Governance Committee of National Trust of Australia (Queensland) and can be submitted at any time. These will be reviewed and determined for announcement at the Annual General Meeting or at the discretion of the board.

In considering nominations, the committee will seek to satisfy that a nominee has:  

Achieved exceptional commitment to National Trust of Australia (Queensland), demonstrating outstanding achievement that has shaped the organisation significantly.

Specifically, the nominee has:

  • Demonstrated achievement at an exceptionally high level
  • Made a significant contribution over and above that expected in their role – whether through paid or unpaid employment or volunteering
  • Voluntarily contributed to the work of National Trust in Queensland in a manner that stands above others who have made valuable contributions

All nominations are confidential, and all information provided will be used exclusively to consider the nomination. All information is obtained in compliance with our NTAQ Privacy Policy . Recipients are advised of the outcome of their nomination in writing from the President of National Trust of Australia (Queensland).

Nominators are advised of the outcome of their nomination prior to the official publication of the Honorary Life Members in the Annual Report.

An Honorary Life Member will receive all full membership benefits.
