Celebrate and honour Chinese ancestors at the Qingming Festival/Ceremony, a time of reflection and tribute.
Join us for a day of cultural enrichment, where we offer gifts and pay homage to our ancestors by maintaining their burial sites.
Our program promises an immersive experience:

10:00 am to 1:00 pm: Engage in half-hour guided tours introducing Chinese Daoist burial practices and the significance of the Qingming Festival (Tomb Sweeping Day).
-
10:30 am: Join our experienced guides and special guest Henry Wah Day for a 1-hour Pioneer Cemetery Tour.

Noon: Indulge in Chinese tea tasting while learning about the ancient art of tea making and its medicinal uses. Traditional sweets will complement the tea experience.
-
12:30 pm: Another opportunity for a 1-hour Pioneer Cemetery Tour with our guides and Henry Wah Day.
Explore the Chinese Museum from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and remember to view the Old Post Office Gallery's exhibition "All Things Eucalyptus" by Marjorie Beattie, celebrating Australia's iconic eucalypts with mixed media and handmade jewellery in sterling silver, copper, and brass.
