Victoria Family Christmas at Wolston Farmhouse

 6 December 2026, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Did you know that Christmas crackers, decorated trees and festive cards all became popular in Victorian times? This December, bring the family to Wolston Farmhouse and discover where so many of our favourite Christmas traditions began.

10:30am – Storytime
Settle in for a festive picture book reading that takes us back to a Victorian Christmas, full of old-fashioned charm, cheerful celebrations and a few surprises along the way.

Craft Session
Victorian families loved filling their homes with decorations, and many of them were made by hand. After Storytime, children and grown-ups can roll up their sleeves and make their own Victorian-inspired Christmas crackers, tree ornaments and cards to take home and enjoy.

Join us for a morning of stories, craft making and Christmas fun.
Afterwards, why not stay a while? Bring your own morning tea or a picnic lunch and relax on the lawns of Brisbane’s oldest surviving residential farmhouse.

It’s the perfect way to make a lovely day of it.
